About us
Iguazú Quintet is a young Belgian ensemble comprised of multi-faceted musicians offering a modern vision of Tango Nuevo by exploring new territories through numerous original arrangements punctuated by improvisation, and that thanks to collaborations with many modern contemporary composers.
Iguazú Quintet was born in 2016 at the Royal Conservatory of Mons (Arts2), and is now a fullydeveloped professional project, mixing musical influences from classical music, tango and jazz.
After a first album dedicated to the music of Astor Piazzolla, released in 2020, the group is now moving to a more young and modern approach of tango, mixing personal arrangements and improvisations, creating a "Chamber Jazz" experience.
Embark on a colorful daydream in the backstreets and clubs of Buenos Aires.
Iguazú Quintet is a member of the "Arts et Vie" tours of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation (code 14321).
